8:30 AM: Our friendly team welcomes you at the pier.
We serve you with snacks and a variety of drinks.
Check-in/Registration (show a copy of your passport).
Collect your snorkeling gear.

9:00 AM: Depart by speedboat from Leam Nga pier to Bamboo island and Phi Phi islands.

10:00 AM: Arrive at Bamboo Island, one of the most beautiful locations in the Andaman Sea. Marvel at the white sands and turquoise waters that blend together seamlessly for a priceless view. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, sun bathing or walking around this beautiful area.

12.30 PM: Travel to Phi Phi islands.

Enjoy a great lunch at a beachside restaurant on Phi Phi Don island and relax on the beach.

14.00 PM: Swim and relax in the impressive Emerald water of Pileh Lagoon.

Optional: Enjoy sightseeing by long tail boat (at extra charge).

Travel by speed-catamaran to Monkey Beach and enjoy sightseeing outside the Viking cave.

15.00 PM: Visit Maya Bay where the Movie “The Beach” was filmed.
Relax on the beach and enjoy the amazing scenery and the crystal clear water in the bay.

Please Note:
After COVID-19, the Thai government allowed Maya Bay to reopen and it has been welcoming tourists since 1 January 2022, however with strict regulations in place to protect its natural resources, such as :

You may walk in the water up to knee-depth only and no swimming allowed in Maya Bay, to protect the blacktip reef shark population breeding here.
The beach of Maya Bay will be closed for two months every year.

The closure is to allow the coral reefs and marine life to recover from the impact of tourism in order to ensure the long-term preservation of this stunning destination.

Maya Bay’s yearly closure dates can change slightly each year, as the dates are only known last minute. In 2024, Maya Bay will be closed from the 1st of August 2024 until the 1st of October 2024. Naturally, our tour cannot visit Maya Bay during these dates.

16:00 PM: Start your return journey to Phuket by speedboat.

17.00 PM: Arrive at Leam Nga Pier in Phuket and transfer back to your accommodation.

Phi Phi Islands

The spectacular Phi Phi Islands are a famous island group in Thailand, situated between the large island of Phuket and the Straits of Malacca coast of Thailand. They are around 40 kilometers southeast of Phuket and form part of the Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, which is home to an abundance of corals and marine life. The islands feature large limestone mountains with cliffs, caves and long white sandy beaches.
The name of the Phi Phi Islands comes from the Malay language. Phi Phi island was origianlly called “Pulau-Api-Api” which translates to “fiery island”. This name refers to the many grey mangroves which are found in abundance in on the islands. The grey mangrove trees are called Pokok Api-Api (“fiery tree”) in Malay.
The Phi Phi islands group consists of six islands. Koh Phi Phi Don is the largest and most populated island of the group. Phi Phi Le is the second largest island. Both Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le have stunning beaches which are very popular with tourists. Phi Phi Don is 9.73 square kilometers; 8 kilometers in length and 3.5 kilometers wide. Phi Phi Le is 2 kilometers in length and the two islands are about 1.5 km apart. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok and Bida Nai are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The Phi Phi islands are easily reached by ferries, speedboats and long-tail boats, most often from ports in Phuket or Krabi town.
Phi Phi Don was initially populated by Thai Malay fishermen during the late-1940s and later became a coconut plantation. The resident Thai population of Phi Phi Don remains more than 80 percent Muslim. In 2018 the resident population was between 2,000 and 3,000 people.
The islands gained worldwide fame when the filming of the 2000 British-American film “The Beach” took place at Maya Bay on Ko Phi Phi Leh.
Phi Phi Le is home to the “Viking Cave” and some locals make a thriving living from harvesting edible bird’s nests. Phi Phi Leh is uninhabited and it features stunning vertical cliffs with green foliage on top and giving way to stunning small sandy beaches and idyllic turquoise sea water. On the southern side of Koh Phi Phi Le lies Loh Sama, a popular bay for snorkeling due to its calm, clear water and many beautiful corals and tropical fish.
Koh Phi Phi was devastated by the Indian Ocean tsunami of December 2004, when nearly the entire infrastructure on the island was destroyed. Since the re-building of Koh Phi Phi after the 2004 tsunami, numerous paved roads cover the majority of Ton Sai Bay and Loh Dalum Bay. However, all roads are for pedestrian use only and push carts are used to transport goods and luggage. The only permitted motor vehicles are official emergency services. As a result, bicycling is the most popular form of transport in Ton Sai.

Maya Bay Restoration
Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh gained international fame after being featured in the movie “The Beach.” However, the bay faced severe environmental degradation due to excessive tourism. Thai Authorities decided to close the bay temporarily to visitors, to allow for ecological recovery. This highlights the significance of balancing tourism with conservation efforts.
Ecosystem Preservation
Naturally the coral reefs contribute massively to the overall ecological significance of the region. However, the islands’ diverse ecosystems, including mangroves, tropical forests and diverse flora and fauna also make a significant contribution. For example, Mangroves play a crucial role in stabilizing coastlines, providing nurseries for fish and protecting against erosion.
Sustainable Practices
Initiatives promoting responsible tourism, waste management as well as the reduction of single-use plastics are being encouraged across the Phi Phi Islands. These practices aim to minimize the impact of tourism on the delicate ecosystems while allowing visitors to appreciate the natural beauty of the islands.

Scientific research and educational programs focused on marine conservation coupled with environmental protection are conducted at Phi Phi Islands. Bamboo Island

Bamboo island (also known as Koh Mai Phai) is a part of the Phi Phi archipelago but it is tiny, only about 700 meters long and 600 meters wide and roughly heart shaped.

The island is covered with lush vegetation in the center but it has a beautiful strip of pristine white beach all the way around the island. It also has a shallow coral reef teeming with marine life surrounding the island. Its calm transparent water offers excellent snorkeling opportunities. It is more remote than its bigger sister islands, located about 5 km from the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don.

The island is an isolated and idyllic slice of paradise, offering amazing picturesque tranquility.
