General Park Rules & Regulations

Ticketing & Entry

Every guest is required to purchase a ticket to enter the park. Please hold the ticket individually when entering the park for speedy service.

• Tickets are valid only on date shown.
• Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, non-changeable and non-exchangeable, and invalid if altered or torn in anyway.
• Child ticket holders must be between 101 – 140 cm (3’3” – 4’7”) in height (inclusive).
• Infants (height not exceeding 100 cm or 3’3”) do not require any tickets and may enter the park, restaurant and stadium at the discretion of parents. Infants must share seats with the parents inside the stadium.
• Access to amusement rides is dependent upon the safety rules for each ride.

Safety & Security

• Weapons of any kind are not allowed within the Park premises.
• All guests may be requested to go through a security check prior to entering the Park. Hat, sunglasses, and veil must be removed for screening purposes.
• Suitcases, parcels, weapons of any kind (including objects that appear to be weapons), pets (including guide dogs), drones, and any items deemed harmful, disruptive, or hazardous to the safety and security of other guests will be required to be deposited at our deposit counter.
• Please keep your belongings with you at all times. We reserve the right to deal with any unattended object in such a way as we consider appropriate.

Reentry Policy

• Guests wishing to temporarily exit the park may do so by obtaining a park reentry hand stamp prior to exiting the park. Every guest must present a ticket upon reentering the park.

Dress Code

• There is no dress code per se but respectable attire is appreciated.
• Visitors will not be allowed to enter the park shirtless or while in swimming suits.
• Also be advised that the stadium is fully air-conditioned and might be chilly to some.

Photography & Video Recording

• Photography and video recording are strictly prohibited inside the Paradium. All guests are required to deposit all cameras, video cameras, and any recording devices (including mobile camera phones) at the locker hall located to the left side of the entrance before entering the Paradium.
• Photography and video recording outside the Parade Stadium are permitted for private use. Approval must be obtained in advance for commercial purposes.
• By entering the park, guests may be photographed, videotaped, filmed, or voice-recorded for the purpose of entertaining visitors or promoting the park without prior consent or compensation.

Food & Drinks

• Food & drinks (including cakes and durian) from outside are strictly prohibited in all Carnival Magic premises including the ticket booth and car parking area.
• Food and drinks (including durian) are not allowed inside the theater.
• Food & drinks (including cakes and durian) may not be brought into the restaurant.
• Corkage charge and cake service charge shall be applied on any alcohol and cake brought in.

Smoking

• Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarette) is strictly prohibited by law in all enclosed spaces and air-conditioned areas, and thus, inside the buffet restaurant and the stadium.
• Smoking corners are available at the entrance of the restaurant.
• Cigars, marijuana, electronic baraku or any device which may cause public nuisance is strictly prohibited at all Carnival Magic premises.

Pets

• Pets (including guide dogs) are not allowed inside the Park.
• A Pet Suite is provided at the entrance of the Park as a temporary shelter.

Safety

• Weapons of any kind are not allowed within the Park premises.
• All guests may be requested to go through security check prior to entering the Park.
• All items deemed hazardous to the safety of other guests will be required to be deposited at our deposit counter.
• For security reasons, hat, sunglasses and veil must be removed before entering.

Carnival Magic Phuket Cultural Theme Park

The concept of Carnival Magic was initially envisioned by our parent company, Phuket FantaSea, when they decided in 2003 to develop a 33-acre plot of land adjacent to its cultural theme park in Phuket, Thailand.

The idea of Carnival Magic was to create a fantasyland that brings together a one-of-a-kind event of carnivals, parades, and festivals embedded in the deep custom and cultural traditions which Thailand is famous for, and to  offer a carnival-style spectacle where visitors of all ages can participate in a wide range of delightful activities.

The project to develop Carnival Magic was halted and restarted 3 times over in 19 years since its envisioning:

• Firstly, construction was interrupted Tsunami in 2004,
• Next, the worldwide recession in the late 2000s saw work grinding to a halt.
• Lastly, the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020 once again scuttled plans.. It was only in 2022 that the project was brought back to life and finally unveiled to the whole world in the same year.

Carnival Magic is the largest investment in theme park development in Thailand at over US $150 million. Since its creation, the project has achieved many of the world’s “firsts”, such as the world’s longest parade float, showcased on a gigantic stage that is over 70 meters long, in a massive 2,200 seat theater that can easily house a few jumbo jets.

Other achievements include the world’s largest light and sound show, the world’s largest LED sculpture, and the world’s tallest popcorn machine, to name a few. The entire park itself is illuminated with 40 million lights in a dazzling display of colors and vibes that offer an extraordinary experience that will surely last a lifetime.

Mobility Disabilities

1. Accessible Restrooms – Spacious restrooms equipped with grab bars, wheelchair-height sink and hand dryer, and other facilities to accommodate guests with reduced mobility.

2. Disability Parking – Available close to the vehicle disembarkation station at the front of the Park.

3. Park Wheelchair Accessibility – Most of the attractions are accessible by wheelchair.

4. Wheelchair Accessible Van – Reservation is required. Please contact us for availability before visiting.

5. Wheelchair Rental – Available at our Ticketing Pavilion or inFUNmation center inside the Park.

6. Tram Service – A tram ride in the Kingdom of Lights is available at extra charge. Kindly note that service is not private.

Visual Disabilities

1. Park Audio Guide – A mobile application providing an audio guide for various key attractions in the Park may be downloaded free of charge.

2. Service Animals – Due to the presence of animals inside the Park, guide dogs or any pets are prohibited from entering. A pet suite is available as a temporary shelter. We will be glad to provide an escort to assist you during your entire visit. (See Escort Service)

3. Escort Service – An escort can be arranged to assist a guest on various tasks such as maneuvering a wheelchair, serving food, and shopping, etc., for the entire visit. A surcharge will be applied for this service.

4. Tram Service – A tram ride in the Kingdom of Lights is available at extra charge. Kindly note that service is not private.

Hearing Disabilities

1. Digital Attraction Guide – By downloading a phone app, a digital park guide will be available to guide you to various attractions and facilities in the Park. (Kindly note that mobile phones will need to be deposited before entering the paradium.)

2. Video Captioning on pre-show and exhibits – Captioning is available on many of our video and digital displays and exhibits.

 You are welcome to bring your camera or smartphone but do so at your own risk. Lost or damaged personal items are not covered by the insurance of the tour operator.

Cameras are not permitted inside the theater:

• All visitors are required to deposit all cameras, video cameras and any recording devices (including mobile camera phones) at the camera check booths located at the security check area before entering the theater.
• Self-service lockers are also available.

TRANSFERS:

Transfers are NOT included in your Ticket Price, but are reasonably priced and you can select either Shared Transfers or Private Transfers.
Transfers are available from almost everywhere in Phuket.

Our transportation service provides safe and comfortable return transfer between any hotel in Phuket and Phuket FantaSea. Please note that this service is for Shared Transfer, i.e. non-private. (Private transfer is available at extra charge – please enquire).

Round trip to any hotel in Phuket: THB 450 per person
Round trip to any hotel in Khaolak: THB 800 per person

• Prices are the same for Adults, Children and Infants.
• Every passenger is required by law to have a seat in transfer vehicles, including INFANTS and CHILDREN.
• Transportation Service from Khaolak is available on some days of the week and subject to change. Reservation is required.

Please be ready at the Main Lobby* of your hotel at least 5 minutes before pick up time and present your Name and Reservation Code to our chauffeur before boarding.

* Note that some hotels may have more than 1 lobby. Please inquire with the hotel reception to make sure that you wait at the Main Lobby where our van can be found.

It is our firm commitment to provide as timely a service as possible. Nevertheless, there are regrettably many factors beyond our control that could delay our transfer. We respectfully ask for your kind patience and understanding. If our van is more than 15 minutes late, please kindly contact us for assistance.

Return Transportation to Hotels

Our return transportation service begins after the show ends. When you wish to return, please contact the transfer counter located at the front of the park for transportation back to your accommodation. Our “FantaSea Transfer Service” van service will leave approximately every 10 minutes or so until midnight.

About Park Admission

What is the criterion for a ‘Child’?
Tickets are offered on a “per person” basis only, meaning everyone needs a ticket to enter, except for infants under 100 cm, who may enter free of charge but will not be provided with theater seats or toys.

For ticketing, we consider anyone under 140 cm in height as a CHILD and anyone over 140 cm in height as an ADULT.

What time should I arrive at the Park?

To allow time to visit all the attractions, we recommend that you arrive as early as possible and no later than 1 hour before parade showtime. Kindly note that Kingdom of Lights opens only according to a pre-announced time, which is different from park operating times.

Is the park suitable for young infant/elderly/disabled?
Definitely Yes! The park can be enjoyed by guests of all ages. There are also facilities that cater for the elderly as well as the disabled.

Can my pet be admitted into the park?
We regret that, for the safety of all our guests and our own animals in the park, pets are strictly prohibited inside our park. A pet suite, located at the entrance of the Park, is available to provide temporary shelter for pets during your visit.

Can I use the internet inside the park?
Wireless high speed internet (Wifi) is available for free at our Carnival Club, located outside the Park. Should you wish to use the internet while visiting Carnival Magic, please contact any of our staff members who will be able to provide assistance to you.

Do you have a business center inside the park?
Our Carnival Club provides various facilities such as wireless high speed internet, shower room, TV and projection room as well as full time receptionists and maids. Please contact our staff should you wish to use the facility.

About Reservation

Do I need to make any advance reservation?
Yes. A reservation is highly recommended as good seats in the Paradium (parade stadium) are constantly in demand. Our seats are assigned by a computerized seat allocation system on a best available basis on the day of visit.

Why can I not choose my own seats?
To ensure that all guests are assigned the best seat possible, all reservations are queued on a first-come-first-serve basis and seats are only assigned by a computerized seat allocation system.

About Transportation

How do we get to your park?
Carnival Magic is located on Kamala Beach, approximately 10 km north of Patong Beach. Transportation in the form of a tuk tuk (taxi) is available on the island. However, for your comfort and safety, we recommend professional hotel transportation or the Carnival Magic van transfer service.

Can I choose my pick-up time if I use your transfer service?
In short, no. The Carnival Magic transfer service is non private and runs on a fixed schedule. Should you wish to choose your own pick-up time, we suggest that you contact us to arrange a private transfer for you (Additional charges apply for private transfers).

Can you pick me up from some other place, other than a hotel?
Unfortunately no. The Carnival Magic transfer service is restricted to routes between hotels and Phuket Carnival Magic park only. If you require a pick-up from somewhere other than a hotel, please contact us at Tour Ninja Phuket to arrange a private transfer for you. (Additional costs will apply).

About Park attractions

Are there any rides at Carnival Magic?
Yes, Carnival Magic features numerous unique attractions with a Thai carnival theme including rides. However, these rides cater only to kids under 140 cm. Each ride also has its own requirements, terms and conditions which must be strictly observed.

Are young infants allowed into the Paradium?
Young infants may enter the Paradium at the discretion of parents.

In what language is the parade show?
Language is not used in the parade show.

About our Buffet

What kind of cuisine is available in the buffet?
We offer Thai and international cuisine. Please contact us for details of the dishes available.

Does your menu change?
Our menu changes from time to time.

Do you offer vegetarian food?
Vegetarian buffet line is available daily.

Do you offer Halal food?
Halal food is provided daily in a special Muslim-only zone.

What time should I arrive for the Buffet?
We recommend that you arrive no later than 90 mins before parade showtime, to allow time to enjoy your buffet dinner and all the attractions.

I do not wish to have the buffet. What are the alternatives?
The Bird of Paradise Buffet Restaurant, one of the world’s grandest, is itself an experience not to be missed. If you do not wish to have the buffet, there is a luxury set dinner restaurant, an a la carte restaurant, a fast food eatery, drink bars, and several snack booths located inside Carnival Fun Fair that offer tempting alternatives.
