What is an ATV?

In essence ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles) are motorized vehicles that were designed to be used on dirt roads or generally off-road, specifically not on paved roads or highways. They usually have four wheels on two axles with large balloon-style tires. The rider or driver typically sits on a seat located in the middle between the two axles and steers the vehicle by motorbike-style handlebars.

Is a Quad Bike and an ATV the same?

While most people use the terms interchangeably, they are not always the same. To this end, a Quad can be an ATV however an ATV is not necessarily a Quad.

Basically, it comes down to the number of wheels the vehicle has. A Quad is a vehicle with four wheels, as indicated by the name. An ATV can also have four wheels, however it can also have only two wheels, or as many as six wheels. Therefore the term ATV basically is broader and encompasses more types of vehicles than a Quad.

Our ATV & Zipline Park

Our ATV and Zipline Park is conveniently situated in the hillside above Patong in the province of Phuket, Thailand.

We have several ATV tracks and they have all been created to ensure you experience maximum enjoyment from riding a 4 wheel drive motorcycle; Have fun in a safe and comfortable environment.

If it is your first time riding a 4 wheel drive motorcycle, our experienced instructors will give you very clear and thorough instructions and they will guide you every step of the way. Discover the exciting adventure of driving  ATVs (all-terrain vehicles).

Our experienced guides will lead you to ride on exciting tracks, so you can immerse yourself in the thrill of up and downhill slopes, and experience the curves and humps of our well designed all-terrain field. You can overlook the diverse Phuket rainforest jungle at your feet and at the same time marvel at the breathtakingly beautiful Andaman Sea.

Our ATV Adventure is perfect for people of all ages and expert guides ensure 100% comfort and safety for customers at all times.

However, for safety reasons, the following restrictions apply:

  • Minimum age limit for ATV PASSENGERS 4 years
  • Minimum age limit for ATV RIDERS 15 years
  • Maximum age limit 60 years

NOT SUITABLE FOR:

For your own safety and the safety of others on the tour, you cannot join the tour if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Pregnant
  • Mental condition
  • Disabled or handicapped
  • Heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma or seizure disorder
  • Previous injury or medical procedures relating to the heart, lungs, kidneys or liver
  • Recent injury or operation on back, hips, legs, knees, feet, neck, shoulders or hands
  • Under influence of drugs or alcohol

We RECOMMEND you bring:

  • Passport or ID card (copy on your phone is sufficient)
  • Wear light and loose fitting clothing which can get dirty
  • Wear light pants (long pants or long shorts), avoid wearing a short skirt
  • Change of clothes
  • Wear sneakers or sport shoes with closed toes
  • Do NOT wear flip flops, sandals or high heel shoes
  • Bug repellent
  • Sunscreen

You can bring your camera or smartphone to capture your adventure. However, make sure it’s securely fastened to your body during activities to avoid dropping it.

Private Transfers:
If you prefer a PRIVATE pick-up and drop-off, you need to book a private two-way transfer at 1,800 Baht per van (maximum 8 passengers)

Please Note:

  • We do not offer any transfers from outside Phuket (across Sarasin Bridge).
  • Tour Ninja Phuket will not pay for self-arranged transport in whole or in part, or reimburse any associated costs.
  • Pick-up and Drop-off times may vary according to location. Please check your booking confirmation email or ask our staff for assistance if you are unsure of your collection time.
  • Phuket traffic is (unfortunately) getting increasingly congested and during peak times delays are inevitable. We kindly ask for your understanding on this regard, as we try to service guests and share our beautiful island with the many tourists that visit every year. Please be ready at your allocated pickup time and be patient if the driver is a little bit delayed – thank you.
