MAYA BEACH, enjoy and relax in the crystal-clear waters, sunbathe on the soft white sandy beach, and explore the stunning limestone cliffs surrounding Maya Bay, it’s a truly amazing sight.

Please Note:
After COVID-19, the Thai government allowed Maya Bay to reopen and it has been welcoming tourists since 1 January 2022, however with strict regulations in place to protect its natural resources, such as :

  1. You may walk in the water up to knee-depth only and no swimming allowed in Maya Bay, to protect the blacktip reef shark population breeding here.
  2. The beach of Maya Bay will be closed for two months every year.

The closure is to allow the coral reefs and marine life to recover from the impact of tourism in order to ensure the long-term preservation of this stunning destination.

Maya Bay’s yearly closure dates can change slightly each year, as the dates are only known last minute. In 2024, Maya Bay will be closed from the 1st of August 2024 until the 1st of October 2024. Naturally, our tour cannot visit Maya Bay during these dates.
